Rear Drag Reels

Rear drag reels for responsive control during the fight

Positioning the drag adjustment knob at the rear of the reel body remains a time-tested design highly valued by many anglers. Rear drag reels offer the unmatched advantage of quick and safe access to tension adjustment while actively playing a fish. Your hand reaches the control knob effortlessly without interfering with the rotating handle or touching the taut mainline running off the front spool.

The internal gearing ensures smooth retrieve performance and consistent line lay across the spool, facilitating effortless distance and accuracy while preventing unwanted friction during casting. A notable practical benefit of these designs is the push-button spool release mechanism, allowing instant spool swaps whenever water conditions require an immediate change in line diameter. The drag system delivers reliable pressure adjustments, ensuring steady control throughout every run.

Thanks to their ergonomic layout and intuitive handling, rear drag models are a favored solution for refined tactics such as float fishing, light feeder work, and classic ledgering. They provide complete ease of use for anglers who appreciate straightforward operational comfort on the bank.
