This rear rod rest is made of flexible yet strong rubber. Its main advantage is high grip (non-slip). During violent takes or when fishing at steep angles ("tips up"), the rubber firmly holds the rod handle and prevents slipping.
The soft material is also gentle on the rod blank, preventing scratches. Fitted with a standard brass thread.
